Rustic, Primitive, Wabi Sabi, Antique, Naive Vintage Bench/Table, England, c19th Century.
A rustic bench which would also serve as a side/coffee table. Sitting on four splayed chamfered legs and formed of elm the piece has a great aesthetic. Dating from the 1800s.
Befitting of interiors that blend pieces of different styles and ages, the piece would work equally well in a contrasting modern interior as well as traditional and also one that harnesses the stripped-back, primitive, rustic, wabi-sabi aesthetic that is so on trend currently and embraces and helps us see natural beauty in imperfection. The piece has a great patina that only the nature of the material and time can produce.
Condition: The piece naturally shows wear commensurate with its age and the practical use it would have once served but in very good condition – however, please do expect the endearing quirks of a piece this age and type.
