Iconic Model 3130 Grand Prix chairs by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen, 1960s
Model 3130 was introduced by Fritz Hansen in 1957 at the Designers' spring exhibition (Kunsthaandværkernes Foraarsudstilling). Later that year, the chair was awarded the 'Grand Prix' at the Triennale in Milan. The chair has 'adopted' the name of the award and always retained. The original design (like these) has wooden legs. Later on, the chair is also produced with chromed metal legs.
Size: h 78 x d 50x w 47; seat height 44 cms
Condition: Good condition, some veneer repairs have taken place, structurally strong, odd scratches, however, all wear commensurate with age.
