Jo Hammerborg Aluminium Lento table lamp for Fog & Morup, 1960s
Aluminium desk lamp from Denmark, designed by Jo Hammerborg in the 1960s.
Belongs to the golden years of Fog & Mørup which is still primarily known
for the work of this designer.
This incredible lamp is of excellent quality and superb design, and is in good condition.
The Lento lamp can be found in their 1967 catalogue. It provides effective downward lighting, but also backlit.
In 1957 Hammerborg became head of design at Fog & Mørup. His incumbency in
this role was to prove the most successful period in the company’s 80-year
history both artistically and commercially as he introduced a new modernist
aesthetic
Fully working, rewired & UK PAT safety tested & passed (portable appliance tested)
