An Erik Ole Jørgensen lounge chair for Olaf Black, in Cognac suede, Denmark, 1953.
The lounge chair features a suede sling over a tubular frame with a sheepskin seat pad, a sheepskin headrest cushion which is counterbalanced by leather and wood which acts as a weight. The chair was originally designed for a competition and subsequently went on to be produced by Olaf Black and sold through Bovirke.
The striking and hard to source design which dates from 1953, this particular model also has arms which were added to increase comfort.

Condition: Suede has a nice level of patina and there is a nice level of wear overall, there are a couple of signs of historic fatigue namely a couple of smallareas that have had some additional stitching and strengthening. Frame has very minor signs of some corrosion pitting.
