A pair of 1960s aluminium and grey lacquered steel 'Horisont' wall lights by Jo Hammerborg and produced by Fog & Mørup, Denmark.
This design belongs to the golden years of Fog & Mørup which is still primarily known for the work of this designer.
These incredible lamps are of excellent quality and superb design, the provides effective downward lighting but are also back-lit.
In 1957 Hammerborg became head of design at Fog & Mørup. His incumbency in this role was to prove the most successful period in the company’s 80-year history both artistically and commercially as he introduced a new modernist aesthetic.

Condition: Medium wear, some minor imperfections to aluminium shades in terms of colour inconsistencies, the inner white paint has discoloured over time and there are the odd scratches and one small dent on the tier that holds the bulb holder on one light. All wear commensurate with age.
