Mario Bellini 401 Break Dining Chairs for Cassina, 1970s
Designed in 1976 The "Break" Dining Chair was designed as part of the Cassina "The Book of Furniture" modular furniture range.
The principle is that panels can be assembled in an endless variety of arrangements resulting in the basic idea of what a chair looks like. An extremely comfortable and soft chair despite its rigid appearance.
Whilst providing a functional element the zipper and leather piping add to the design aesthetic.
This set of 6 produced in the late 1970s are in good vintage condition, some signs of wear and minor imperfections relative to age and use should be expected.
