A Giancarlo Piretti “Alky” chair newly upholstered in Designers Guild linen-colored velvet. Manufactured by Artifort in the 1970s.
Giancarlo Piretti was an Italian designer born in Bologna in 1940. He designed some of the most recognized and iconic seating of the 20th-century design.
The organic shape offers a minimal appearance but also comfort.
Condition: Foam restored where required and entirely new fabric. The metal floor glides naturally do show signs of wear. As these are delicate cotton velvet do expect slight gathering in places and minor pile imperfections and very minor differences between the chairs.
