A Rare Olivier Mourgue "Djinn" Armchair in New Fluffy Alpaca Pierre Frey Fabric, France, 1960s
A highly in-demand & very hard-to-find Olivier Mourgue "Djinn" armchair newly upholstered in fluffy wool, mohair and alpaca fabric which is produced by one of the most luxurious fabric manufacturers in the world, Pierre Frey.
The Djinn series was famously used in Stanley Kubrick's 2001 A Space Odyssey movie (1968) however, examples without arms are more commonly found and pieces with arms are much harder to source.
This piece is in beautiful condition – do expect slight quirks in line with a piece of this age, fabric may gather very slightly in places due to shape.
