POA - Vintage French Turned Column Pedestal Plinths, Reminiscent of Charles Dudouyt
Description
Price on application - email [email protected]
A pair of French pedestal plinths with a turned column stem, reminiscent of Charles Dudouyt designs.
Plinth form most probably dates from the early-Mid 20th Century with the turned screw columns from a much earlier date and most probably used as part of a wine press.
Befitting of interiors that blend pieces of different styles and ages and also those that harness the stripped-back, primitive, rustic, wabi-sabi aesthetic that is so on trend currently and embraces and helps us see natural beauty in imperfection. The set has amazing patina that only time can create.
Condition: The items naturally show wear commensurate with age and the practical use they would have once served. Some of the age characteristics are no longer active woodworm, some losses and imperfections - in general, please expect the endearing quirks of a set this age and type. Very slight height difference between the pair, one top has some indentations.
The set has been sympathetically & professionally restored.
