A Giancarlo Piretti “Alky” chair newly upholstered in fluffy Pierre Frey fabric.
Manufactured by Artifort in the 1970s in the Netherlands. Newly upholstered in fluffy wool, mohair and alpaca fabric which is produced by one of the most luxurious fabric manufacturers in the world, Pierre Frey.
Giancarlo Piretti was an Italian designer born in Bologna in 1940. He designed some of the most recognized and iconic seating of the 20th century.
Condition: In very good order, entirely new upholstery and foam restored where required - being vintage do expect some minor quirks. Due to shape, there may be odd small areas of minor gathering of the fabric. Metal floor glides obviously show signs of wear and age.
