A Giancarlo Piretti “Alky” chair newly upholstered in a 'Parchment' colored Yarn Collective bouclé fabric.
Manufactured by Artifort in the 1970s in the Netherlands.
Giancarlo Piretti was an Italian designer born in Bologna in 1940. He designed some of the most recognized and iconic seating of the 20th century.
The organic shape offers a minimal appearance but also comfort.
Condition: In very good order, entirely new upholstery and foam restored where required - being vintage do expect some minor quirks. Due to shape, there may be odd small areas of minor gathering of the fabric on the seam. Metal floor glides obviously show signs of wear and age. There looks to be a slightly darker hue line across the seat but we believe this is the fall and concentration of the fabric pile and should drop out when the fabric relaxes.
