A modernist mid-century vintage stool. Sitting on three tapered legs and formed of elm.
Reputed to have been made in 1977 in Salisbury Cathedral workshops from "Waterloo" Elm trees which stood in the cathedral close (a cathedral close is the area immediately around a cathedral) until 1977 when they had to be
felled as they were killed by Dutch Elm disease.
Condition: The piece shows minor signs of wear. Due to age, we do not recommend sitting on this piece.
