A French pedestal table with a turned column stem, reminiscent of Charles Dudouyt designs. Probably dating from the early 20th Century.
Befitting of interiors that blend pieces of different styles and ages, the piece would work equally well in a contrasting modern interior as well as traditional and also one that harnesses the stripped-back, primitive, rustic, wabi-sabi aesthetic that is so on trend currently and embraces and helps us see natural beauty in imperfection.
The piece has a great patina that only the nature of the material and time can produce. Whilst there are minor imperfections it is a nice piece in original condition.
