Description
Please enquire regarding cost: [email protected]
A French pedestal wine table with a turned column stem, reminiscent of Charles Dudouyt designs.
The table form most probably dates from the early 20th Century with the turned screw column from an earlier date and most probably used as part of a wine press. Constructed of oak & elm.
Befitting of interiors that blend pieces of different styles and ages and also those that harness the stripped-back, primitive, rustic, wabi-sabi aesthetic that is so on trend currently and embraces and helps us see natural beauty in imperfection. The piece has an amazing patina that only time can create.
Condition: In good condition. The item naturally shows some wear commensurate with age. Some of the age characteristics are isolated signs of no longer active woodworm in the column and some general minor imperfections.
